MASALA CHAI, CHAI LATTE, AROMATIC, SPICY LOOSE LEAF TEA,
Indian spiced tea. “Masala” means mixed spice, “chai” means tea. Masala chai is a aromatic tea beverage made by brewing black tea with a mixture of Indian spices and herbs. There is no fixed recipe or preparation method for Masala Chai and many families have their own versions of the tea. The composition of Masala Chai differs regionally, with many recipes across India according to regional and personal taste, and none is considered more authentic than others. However, all Masala Chai has four basic components: milk, sweeteners, cardamom, and ginger.
Our version of Masala Chai is blend of black loose leaf tea from Assam and aromatic and healthy spices: Cardamom green, Cinnamon, Cloves, Ginger and Star Anise. As we prepare all our tea at the day of dispatch (we do not have stock of any ready made products) on request we can add Mace or Nutmeg to our fascinating chai blend. The tea is traditionally brewed by boiling milk, adding good thick black tea, various spices and then boiling it again. The resulting mixture is thick, spicy and incredibly full-bodied. To create our Masala Chai blend as close as possible to Indian traditional version we were working closely with our friend, Mr. A. J. Singh. This is traditional recipe originating from past generations of Mr. A. J. Singh family, handed down by his Grand Mother. This blend contains ONLY 100% row, natural ingredients crushed, not ground, at the day of dispatch. No flavouring, no aroma is added to our Masala Chai. To make sure all aroma, freshness and full taste remind in your tea we pack it carefully to the heat-sealed, special designed three layers bags to hold all goodness of Chai for you. We advise to keep the tea in this bag, or transfer it to airtight food grade container.
IMPORTANT: Turn your bag of Chai upside down a few times. The crushed spices can settle at the bottom of the bag.
