White Downy is a rare and precious tea with beautiful fluffy white leaves from the Guangxi province. This most delicate organic white tea is made with silvery, downy leaves plucked in the early spring. The youngest spring leaves of this white downy tea are hand-picked and hand processed using orthodox tea methods with minimal processing. The leaves undergo very little change after being picked, thus preserving many of the benefits of fresh tea leaves. White tea is one of the least grown teas and one of the most difficult to cultivate. Taste is exceptionally fresh, flowery and slightly sweet, deceptively complex with clean, subtle notes of chestnut, honeysuckle and melon. White Downy is rich in antioxidants and low level of caffeine.
